At Wāhine Connect, we welcome the opportunity to share our ideas and experiences with our professional communities, academic institutions, and corporate and healthcare organisations.
Mentoring relationships and programmes benefit individual mentees and mentors, their organisations, and the broader system. It is an effective way to support employees interpersonally, contribute to their professional development goals, and transmit culture throughout the organisation.
We have learnt a lot in our development of Wāhine Connect – we have grown from a grass-roots community enterprise into a stable, thriving service that has supported more than 700 women mentees and created a diverse mentor community.
We are often asked to share our story, our tips for developing mentoring programmes, and our lessons for effective and satisfying mentoring relationships – we have done this through numerous presentations, panels, and consultation meetings over the years.
